I'll go look for it at the local Honda dealer, because I'm very curious. And as far as I remember I saw a CBR250 well before September (I found that bike interesting too) - a tricolor, unfortunately. Yours does look much better And that color is not available here. But I love the orange/grey CBR125 they have!

Wow I'm glad to hear more bikes are getting ABS. I haven't been keeping up since the GL1800 left the garage. But a KLR250 ABS could probably get me back in the saddle

I wish that ABS was required in the USA. Just to put in to perspective the first ABS bike I ever test rode was in 1987 a BMW K75 or 100 don't recall which. That first gen was pretty clunky but it was a start.

When I was looking for an F650CS a few years ago, ABS was one of the reasons that made me decide on the present Teresa. The other was the color(lessness) - a Claymore should have none
I've always felt it a good decision, I'm no perfect (and started without any experience with any motorized vehicle) so ABS proved very handy.

Starting to see some good data on fuelly for the NC700X tall boy. One Lady with 2000 miles already is over 70 mpgUS lifetime.

No kidding! That one with 70mpg is over 12 fill ups, not a single tank anomoly. Hate to say it but it almost makes the 250 redundant for mpg focused experienced riders.

Side note: The CBR250R dual sport brother is alive but just hasn't got it's passport to the US yet. I want a motard version.

The body work of the CBR250R is one it's best features. Really excellent performance in the wind and good protection from rain. The only thing that gets wet are my toes and there is a 3 inch spot above the windshield where there is no rain hitting your visor.

Not for me. I sat on one and the first thing I noticed was the lack of protection. This, mind you, is in stark contrast to a Kawasaki Concours.

I'm 6'1" and 190lbs so that may have something to do with it. I'm also too creaky to ride around in a tuck. I really really love the 250 and still might get one someday, I just need to find a way to improve the protection to a more acceptable level - for me. Still want to make an DG alligator replica out of a damaged one, with an aero shell.

I just mentioned it because I keep hearing people wish for a naked version. I have no use for naked bikes now that I have lived with the CBR250R.

Protection from what, wind or bugs? Adding a larger windscreen will increase drag and fuel economy would suffer.
