New to me 1995 Civic VX

After a long search found this 95 VX. One owner 100% orig and dealer maintained. First tank of fuel realized 54mpg and was not really paying attention to my driving. First mod will be a MPGuino and get serious about my driving. Car will help on my 60 mile round trip commute.

Welcome. Nice start. Great choice for a first mod, instantaneous feed back is a great help. Don't forget to air up the tires and check out the 100+ Hypermiling tips. Two free mods that some believe will give you the greatest improvement.

Welcome!

Maybe get a vacuum gauge after MPGuino so you can practice the DWL (Driving with Load) hypermile technique. That an an injector cut off switch (for engine-off coasting) and pumped-up tires will greatly increase your city MPG and therefore your averages if you have to drive much in town.

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.

Welcome! It is a great forum. Start up an introduction thread so people can get to know what you drive and what you want to accomplish with it.
