The problem with personal experience is that its' often flawed by the placebo effect. If you don't have any repeatable results or data that shows under conditions as controlled as possible that the gain is true and real, then it just doesn't exist in a scientific inquiry.
In other words, unless it's proven and repeatable by anyone, it's not true.

Domman,
By your first post, It's seems you have posted on other sites before and people tend not to like you. (you aplogized upfront)
Research means controlled tests: search A-B-A tests.
You've posted 11-13 times in one day and it's all about K&N filters!!!
Slow down, take a breath, read some posts and use search. We see guys like you flame in and flame out all the time (and on all forums) Take this as the Christmas present it's intended to be.....

Well......that just proved my point........
HERE LISTEN UP DXXXXXXXX, take your preconcieved notion, butt dyno proof and sit down.
You posted your little one trick pony (K&N) a dozen times and got blown out of the water. If your gonna play, strap on a helmet.
Heck even the Infiniti Q45 sites have dispelled the CAI, K&N etc crap. And we go 0-60 in under 6 sec w/ 340hp out of a 4.5liter V8 stock in a 4 door sedan
Now if you drive some pos muscle car that has been under engineered so boys can bolt on a bunch of useless aftermarket crxx.....ok.

You're obviously not paying close attention.
It's possible to have a toe in each world, and many of our members do - more than a few came to ecomodding after spending years educating themselves about the technical side of speed. Many have a "performance" car for fun on the weekend and are building up efficient "performance" cars for commuting.
Buddy, you need to chill out. Maybe a little less typing and a bit more reading... or take a hike.

Buy some TRUCK NUTZ... I hear they work wonders for calming drivers down. Just don't hit bumps too hard... might smack yer nutz.
TRUCK NUTZ save fuel! They make you slow down so you don't smack 'em too hard! LOL!
