Just found this site today, good to see there are still people interested in mileage rather than total performance. I've always been a kinda leave it alone if it ain't broke person, engineers put a lot of time and effort in building these cars we drive. I just like to keep it original and if somethings wrong, find it.

Some eco mods can actually also benefit the overall performance. Plus, the engineers have many interferences in their work both due to the marketing department pointing some fancy features as a stronger sales point in spite of their negative impact on the fuel-efficiency...

Welcome!

Yep, all vehicles are compromises with the goal of targeting a particular target market at the best profit margin (or to meet a particular mandate at the lowest cost). While a good majority of the vehicle is probably best left alone, there are certainly areas which can be improved for either performance or efficiency (or occasionally both). You'll be able to find out which improvements are expected to work and which aren't at this site.
