New personal records and new job FTW!

So I whooped arse this tank. 12.110 gal got me 741.7 miles for an average of 61.25 mpg!

So lets run down my new records...
Broke 59.89 mpg tank record with 61.25mpg
Broke tank distance record of 712 miles with 741.7 miles.
% over epa for 90 days is 102.345% which is a new best.
First time my tank took 12+ gal of gas to refill.

I knew that on Cobalts you get a "low range" warning when you only have about 50 miles left. I just found out you also get a "low fuel" warning when you have what I would guess to be about 10 - 15 miles left.

Don't plan on doing this again anytime soon as I don't want to kill my fuel pump by sucking air.

Also....
I got a new job starting tomorrow.

My new job will probably lower my average by 5 mpg but instead of 70 miles round trip it will only be 40 miles.
Instead of 1.3 gal of gas a day I will only be using roughly 0.8 gal. Save 130+ gal of gas a year, I'll take that deal.
Also, it is only about 6 miles from where my wife works so depending on my schedule we may be able to carpool once or twice a week.

Congrats on all counts.

And thanks for reminding us to keep mentioning the XFE trim when people ask about efficient, used highway cruisers.

I'll have to go for 600 tank as I haven't seen the "low fuel" warning yet, but I have a larger tank. I get 50 mpg trips, just can't keep it up thru a tank.
