New Prius V

Here's the official unveiling of the new bigger Prius V:

It's a bit larger than I personally need, but I like the option for those who need a car larger than the Prius itself.

Lots of people 'think' they need a bigger car than a Prius...

I'd be very surprised if it did fit a 4'x8' sheet -- it is not quite a pickup!

I like the design. Any specs pertaining to FE ?

I wish automakers would stop using those type of tail lights though. I find them fugly.

Wow. It looks to be a regular prius with a flat(er) roof and much worse fuel figures. "Toyota estimates it will get 42/38/40 mpg city/highway/combined." 20% loss for hardly any more usable space. I'm sure the public will buy it up though.

Color me un-impressed.

I was hoping for a minivan sized prius, which I could use as a truck some day.

...looks like an aerodynamic station-wagon to me...I kinda/sorta like it!

...( + ) the rear-window area.

...( - ) those upright thingee's on the front bumper adjacent the lower opening.

Amazing the opinions that vary from place to place. You guys think it's too big, Jalops think it is too small still. Both are a part of my double-sided auto-personality, though my 'practical' side is more dominant, and it's a good thing too.

I like it. The rear isn't as aerodynamic as it should be, but I think the front looks good, and proportions look good. But I don't think it is worth that big MPG drop.

Same drivetrain as the Prius. A bit heavier & worse aero, so no surprise...
