If it's got port fuel injection then you just need to find the injector signal for one of the injectors and the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) for the "distance" (that is, for the miles part of the 'mpg' calculation). And of course a +12v source and a ground. Just those 4 connections, and you'd be good to go.
