Not a lot of that in Reno for an unknown to me reason. Mostly blue harbor fright tarps turned into tents. Otoh, over in the commercial area parking lots there are a lot of live aboard oriented vehicles. Could be a safety thing, could be a cop hassle thing. We do have a city ordinance against live aboard at shopping centers

Stealth-camping FTW but having a portable genset aboard would still be desirable.

"....down by the river" was an SNL [cultural] reference, but it is a use case for a drop-in hydro generator.

wattpowervolt.com/portable-hydro-turbine-power-generator-300watts-12volts.php

Quote:
Portable Hydro Turbine Power Generator 12Volts. Each river has rapid parts with a higher gradient. You can install a Submersible Generator. Without having to build a dam or install piping. Submersible generator is a special. Low-speed, high efficiency output turbine alternator. Hydro turbine can work in rapid. Current without hose or small creeks with hose from 10 degree drop gradient.

The linked article suggested a rope. My late little brother had one that towed behind his sail boat.

Fleet average?

Does the CAFE standard deal the a carmaker's 'fleet average'?
If so, it can sell BEVs, rated at EPA COMB 130-mpg, along with gas-guzzlers, and as long as it pencil's out to a sales-weighted, fleet-ave. of 40-mpg, they're 'golden.'

When I looked into non-emergency medical transportation one ad claimed it was perfect for van-lifers.

You want me to transport strangers in my gas-guzzling home?!

I didn't even know it existed. Would be worth for some people who live near rivers and creeks, in places such as Manaus for instance.
