Shes here. Beat the **** out of it on the test drive and the only thing i found wrong with it is the light for D is out. 215k miles of goodness. Very solid and not a lick of rust on it anywhere. I see a Houston toll road pass on it so that might explain why. Time to do a oem timing belt kit for it and it will be good to go. Going to watch the video on it front to back a couple times and it will get done when it gets warmer. Next on the list when that is done is to take the interior out of the prius and clean it out again. It has gotten filthy over the like 90k miles!
Oh and the Sequoia seems to get 18 mpg so far. 55mph-60-75mph stuff.

2004 Sequoia Limited 2wd 215k $3999

Last I drove one, I liked the engine and how it handled (for what it is).

I think it is quite a neat vehicle. Basically a Tundra but for about 6 grand less. From what I've seen as long as you don't let it rust, and change the oil every 5k, and timing belt every 100k they seem to almost last forever. This to me makes up the mpg hit vs some of the higher ones from worse brands.
I was driving it home and my friend was driving the Prius and it would accelerate pretty damn quick to 70mph while just using 2k rpms and the prius would take a little while to catch up.
Also I figured out all of the wood grain on the doors, console, dash etc... is just stick on from the factory so I've been peeling it off and it looks a lot better. Less Grandma'ey.
Like the Prius which i found to dramatically lose value at around 90-100k, the Sequoias seem to take a dive in value at 200k. I'm assuming because thats when all the maintenance comes due. Timing belt kit is $1100 from toyota (basically 25% of its value). lol

Yikes, that's steep. Can you get a decent kit from Rock Auto?

All oem toyota parts (aisin and all that) is $269.99 plus tax on ebay. Thats idlers, water pump, gasket, belt etc...
Vehicle doesn't have a lick of rust so I'm not afraid to try to do it this time lol
I'm sure a local might do it as well for 300 ish bucks labor

Forgot about rock auto. I see aisin without the toyota logo on it is $175 plus shipping and tax. Even better!

Going to remove the roof rack this weekend. Do y'all think running boards will do much? roof rack is a bigger one but running boards not as much since they aren't in direct view from the front.

I also see it has a mechanical fan if you know what that means. (if i can find the e-fan in a junkyard).
I'm imagining those two would bring me up from 13/17 to 14/19

That makes the boards a side skirt mount.
