We have returned our Leaf at the end of it's 3 year lease, and it had a bit over 34,000 miles, and it had all 12 bars.

No, but I averaged 4.6 miles / kWh in the winter, and 5.5 in the summer.

jalopnik.com:Nissan's Long, Strange Electric Journey

This traces the backstory of the Nissan Leaf from the Tokyo Electric Cars Company, through a surprising number of concepts and low-volume niche vehicles to today's Leaf

Make that Porsche India Red, add Porsche Fuchs forged alloys (I believe they came in 14s) and rake it, and it would have that California Look that was popular in 1970. Plaid upholstery didn't last out the 70s.

Those numbers seem a bit off. 57 miles per charge (at a steady 65mph) with normal hubcaps, 74 with smooth disc covers? I didn't sit through the whole thing but I wonder if they did A-B-A testing etc.

Probably had a tail wind.
Normal Smoot hub cap improvement is 1 to 3 percent.
That's around 10x the ideal of the normal improvement.

They reran the test with the same charge level at the beginning of both runs, and the difference was much smaller.

Wind was mostly negated because the runs were the SAME LOOPS. They even carried all the wheel covers in the car to keep the weight the same.
