I've got a bunch of birthdays in the family, but I'll try to make it.

Not the 23rd or 28th. Other weekdays or weekends will work.

Where's a convenient area to meet? I'm in the north bay (Walnut Creek/Concord)

What would you folks like to do? I was thinking we would all pile into one car, and its owner drives a route, describing what he's doing to hypermile it. The other two guys do the same thing. After we're all done, perhaps I offer a P&G lesson. Then we all drive the route again to see if we've learned anything. Then we have a lunch or dinner together to chat.

If you're both in the Sacto area, I'm sure you know of some local farm road areas where we could meet and drive.

Highways are too high-speed for real hypermiling gains. Some farm roads with 35 or 45 mph psls, few stop signs/lights, and very light traffic, or with 4 lanes of traffic, would be ideal. About 10 miles of those kind of roads is what I'm looking for to show you how to wring some serious mileage out of your cars.

Does either of you know a road in your area that meets those criteria?
