Always test adhesive tricks in an inconspicuous spot. Results can be greatly affected by residual mold release and other surface contamination. For a temporary bond, you might try using wax on the surface first. A thick, flexible adhesive between two rigid parts will hold well even with poor surface adhesion, and then can be cut in order to peel off the residue.

Glue will never work. By time you are done experimenting with adhesives, you will find none of them work for something like that. I would find a place under the dash where there is already a screw holding the trim on, remove it and install the bracket there. You might have to drill one extra hole, but it would not be obvious.

My first thought for that would be one permanent clip or loop glued or screwed to the back and replaceable zip ties holding the cables to it. I'm guessing the issue is strain relief. If you can bundle the cables and zip tie them to anything near the computer to keep the tension off the plugs.
