The last time I rode my bike over the bridge over the Willamette, there was a deer (hard to judge the size. Fawn? Yearling?) down by the boat ramp at the mouth of the millrace.
It doesn't get more downtown than that (around here).

Gasoline prices are nowhere near what they were back at the peak in 2007-8. The highest I paid was $4.18/gal.
Now, I pay nothing for gasoline ...

Depends on your definition of "neighborhood". Don't think where I live would exactly qualify as a neighbood, but it's not uncommon to see wild horses grazing in the front yard. And when I first bought the place, before the previous owner had moved out, she called me up early one morning to tell me "There's a great big bear sitting on YOUR patio!".

Did you leave a picnic basket on your porch or just a pot of hunny?

As gas prices continue their upward climb, erasing a portion of Americans' tax cut savings, fuel economy is suddenly important again.

Those Arizona AA's had a drink too many?
OTOH, if their readers mind the 'What does work' tips they'd potentially save a lot.
