I can't disagree with your conclusion that we should fight pathogens, but comparing them to an invading army does not follow. Obviously, pathogens are not sentient, and do not consciously make decisions to cause harm. In fact, allowing the host to live is essential to the survival of most pathogens. This is a very different threat than one made by a sentient being, intent on eradicating a population. Furthermore, the body has a conscripted defense to fight disease; with doctors providing a last line of defense.

Perhaps I missed your argument entirely.

I am not fighting against healthcare, I am fighting against the inefficient mass that is the government. Do you know that the FDA admits on their website that some of their food pyramid recommendations are based on economic factors? Like we payed farmers to make all this corn. Or like big Pharm needs to make some money. Or that cancer will never be cured because treatment yields the ideal consumer. Oh wait, cancer is on the top ten of deaths... Add a little conservative kick that death by gunshot is not verbatim on this list But Mr. Obama and Eric Holder are on point trying to save us from our freedoms.

Better yet, when will the Government universal healthcare require me to exercise the way they determine is best for me and to eat only what they determine is best for me. And then there is stress, maybe the government should tell me what job I will be good at. And then there are my living accommodations...

It is a slippery slope when you ask the government to "help" you. There are always conditions to this aid. I would trim down all facets of the government. I would shift companies and unions as to guilty until proven innocent so they have to actively provide evidence that they are taking care of individuals not lawyering there way to skirting the laws. That way the government would serve it's true purpose of protecting people. Not corporate interests. But this would be a utopia which doesn't exist, greed and corruption are the norm for our society, not the exception.
