he's pretty much been flat on his back, in bed since the 8th.
He tried to leave his left hip at an intersection under construction.

I can't make Boise to home on a full tank, so I usually stop somewhere around Hood River.

Sometimes I'll take highway 20 instead since it's shorter and quieter. Adds 15 minutes in theory, but if there's not much traffic I can make that up. Of course, if Portland is home than 84 is the only way to do it.
In which car? I made Boise to Beaverton with a quarter tank left and my car only has a 10-11 gallon tank

The Mazda. It's my company car and that's the only reason I travel to Boise. It has a 15 gallon tank and probably averages 25 MPG on these trips due to 75-80 MPH zones.

I could make the trip on a car that has a 500 mile range, but not 300-400. Mazda has a weird quirk where it occasionally doesn't pick up the last 2 gallons of fuel, making me treat the car as if it's got a 13 gallon tank (and carry an emergency gallon).
