Smile Fran

Hi,

Paul and others have talked about learning ways of doing things on electric cars and controllers in particular from Fran.

Can anyone tell me where he posts that I might also learn from him?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave! He doesn't post. He's more of an... Oh I don't know what... A ghost perhaps... From a far away land. Eastern Europe. Croatia I think. He's on the EVTech list sometimes. Sign up on evtech.org if you want to have access to his occasional awesomeness. No one knows for sure even if he exists at all! They say, every time you hear a wolf howl in the distance, it could be him, saying he's ready to come on home, but the wolf king has banished him. Do you ever just start typing stuff, and pretty soon it makes no sense whatsoever?!

Hi Paul,

I wanted to PM you but I don't have enough posts.

Would you email me at:

dgn at earthlink dot net

I would like to know if you intend to source the latest controller, driver, power, and current sensor boards through your web stove?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave! I need to make some changes to the driver board. It's fine in my car at 72v, but at 144v, one beta tester's controller is behaving erratically. He's going to mail it to me so I can see what the heck is going on. Another one failed at 162v. I'm going to make some changes and have a driver board that more closely mimics the professional boards that use the direct output of the pwm signal. I think the optos should be on the driver board now.

A few people have asked me about the mods to the control board to obtain a pwm output for use with the igbt driver. Here is a quick video with the details :
