Before you do, think about this: Do you really think $1,000 will be sufficient to fix what will go wrong with the CRX during the time you'd have ownership of the car? (Not to mention the pain of 'down time' if this is your only car.)

I would go with the CRX, as long as you get money your way too.
Would $500-1000 be enough to get the crx into good shape though?

Has he been ecomodding it? Free flowing exhaust, lower ride height, wiper delete... sounds like a good start.

The barter system sucks. Sell your neon to someone who wants one, then buy a CRX. Get a commuter bicycle to fill the gap, and to ride when your CRX breaks down.

I would vote for the CRX in a blind test. After reading the condition, I voted No Way. You have no way to know that anything on the CRX is what it is represented to be and the condition of everything else on the car says it's not. That rascal looks like an enormous can of worms.

My position hasn't changed. Still looks/sounds like a POS that was probably modded to hell and back for power by someone who drove like he was in 2Fast 2Furious.... Run screaming from this guy!

Why is it that you want to get rid of your Neon in the first place, exactly?

I love my neon, I just used to have a CRX and miss the heck out of it
I like repairing cars (cheap repairs ) and the CRX, from my experience, is just super easy to work on and fix the way you want it...

Wish he would give me both CRXs... haha, that may be worth it right?

Honestly, dude, just save your money so that you can just buy whatever you want and keep a reliable daily driver.

I miss my CRX too (maybe there's a therapy group for this). But, I voted to keep the Neon.
