The "LET'S PUT A BIG DIAGONAL PIECE OF PLEXIGLAS IN FRONT OF THE WINDSHIELD!" thing... sorry, looks like a cleaning/maintenance/visibility nightmare. Cutting a hole in the air isn't nearly as difficult as closing the hole you've cut.

The goiter on the roof makes somewhat more sense, but ultimately seems like what it's accomplishing is similar to what this accomplishes http://www.donbur.co.uk/eng/images/DSC0084.jpg - if it's an easy retrofit for the junk already out there in the fleet, cool I guess, but I just don't see it being of that much benefit.

I also would like to note that I'm a little resentful these kids are getting all sorts of money and attention thrown at them for having a not-particularly-amazing idea, when I was constantly and sternly reprimanded for having strong ideas contrary to the going norm, like insisting that the big bang was a stupid idea and that a cooling universe would look more like spreading frost and for carrying one of these things in my pocket when I was 10 (late 80s) - I guess the key to success is only being a tiny bit innovative, not so much you alienate people.

yeah, i would focus more on side skirts and rear spoiler, maybe a lower air dam and electric fans instead of flywheel mounted for the older buses.

but really, the majority of a buses hours are spent idling and below 40mph, much of which is accelerating from the previous stop. aero mods might not be the best place to spend time and money.

perfect electric hybrid? small turbo diesel generator and electric drive.

We have disgust this dumb thing before: green shield - Google Search

...and the Ram Implosion Wing too: ram implosion wing - Google Search

What makes me mad about the Green Shield is that something so stupid and meritless wins simply because of their effective "ballot box stuffing" e-campaign.

Is there any way for me to block HUUUUUGE pics in threads?

You mean they don't resize themselves down on your computer? Sorry, they do on both FF and IE on my machine so I didn't see it as a problem. I'll change that one up there to a link.

Thanks. See, what happens is, it loads full size first THEN downsizes. Well, that full-sized loading takes forever and my monitor would have to be 4' wide to see it all... Man, I know Neil loves that poster-sized stuff and I always have to ask myself: do I want to risk opening a thread where Neil posted, where there might be a bunch of huge pics to basically lock up the computer? So oftentimes I don't.

I'm using FF now but IE was always the same.

I'm still holding out for the "steady state" theory....thinking that expansion is being produced everywhere simultaneously.

It gets attention because it is kids, it is great they are making efforts.
What would really be cool is putting pedals in the rear seats, so the passengers can pedal to help drive the bus! So it needs to be a hybrid
with electric drive so the pedalling can generate elec to add power.
and I know of course it is insignficant power, but significant "attitude".
