Price drop for the Enertia

Hello,

Competition in production electric motorcycles has worked its first bit of magic, the price drop.

Brammo Enertia drops price to $7,995 - Hell For Leather

Brammo has reduced the price of their electric motorcycle, the Enertia to a very competitive price when compared to Zero Motorcycles street going line-up.

I would really like to see a side by side comparison test between these two electric motorcycles.

Now, just need to get an ultra-capacitor & battery combination to fit on a bike with a good electric motor and it would be great!

(My personal opinion is that an electric vehicle with both a battery and an ultra-capacitor would be better off than with just one or the other, as they both have advantages and disadvantages)

Any excited besides me?

I'm pleased to see that they were able to drop it so much. Even though I can't currently afford one anyway, I think this brings the Enertia down into the realm of 'affordable commuter' vs. 'my other bike is a Ducati' type of pricing. In short, if I had the cash, I'd order one today. At the previous price, it just wasn't practical IMO.

I am tempted to sell one of my cars and get a Zero S, my current commute is 8 miles one way. Close to 60 miles per charge should work just fine for me, and I think hypermilers could extend it a bit more! Don't forget it can wheelie!
