Prius Convertible. Perfect or Nonsense?

California's Newport Convertible Engineering (NCE) has developed a Toyota Prius Convertible...

But what about the Cd???

Edmunds.com reports NCE's latest iteration in unique conversions.

The manufacturer claims no additional weight to the conversion. Chassis rigidity is expected to remain at manufacturer standards.

I wonder how highway FE is impacted by the soft top. As we know, the Prius shines in city driving. With Los Angeles being one of the most popular places to find the Prius, does the drop top version make sense or is it just a trend?

CD is gone!! even with the top up i bet its CD is gone

Farme's on the rear windows.. not very stylish..

Just get one of those huge new multipane sliding sunroofs like the G6 has in it... and youd ge the same effect yet retain some CD when closed... open is another story.

Who cares about CD. Its a 4 door convertible hybrid. If Toyota built it I would be all over it in a NY minute.

I'd rather have one of those full length sun roofs than that

Hard top convertible?

I too, don't like all the framing. I rode around in a convertible coupe in tampa this week, and its a blast. With the windows having to stay framed along with the support bar, you might as well get a big sunroof.
