Since when? I don't see the Prius getting anywhere close to the 70+ mpg (average over 7 years/95K miles) I've gotten from my Insight. In addition to which, the Insight is a far more driveable car.

I'm pretty sure they are referring to the newer insight. The older one is the undisputed mileage king in the U.S. but it's also a lot smaller than the Prius, whereas the new Insight is close in size but gets substantially less mileage.
