Darnit. Now I want one of those VW SP2 cars. Never have owned a VW, never wanted to own a VW, but *that one* is pretty cool looking.

Sven, is that bus one of the ones running the in-line 4cyl water coolled engine, the 1.4 ? The front end looks like this (for a radiator).

Hmmm. Ever more weird VW's. Never heard of a water cooled bus until the much later squared off vanagon.

And now for something completely different, yet aerodynamic. The 1921 Rumpler Tropfenwagen. Rumpler Tropfenwagen - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia VW wind tunnel tested it in 1979 and found it to have a drag coefficient of .28, a value VW wouldn't achieve until the 1988 Passat.

The new world famous Volkswagen T2 is manufactured by VW and is powered by a fuel injected, water-cooled cooled modern engine. This is fitted with electronic ignition and a catalytic converter exhaust system. The result of this modern technology is that your engine will always run beautifully no matter the weather conditions. Front servo assisted disc brakes and rear drum brakes are now also standard. The new VW 'Total Flex' engine can also run on either bio fuel or unleaded petrol so emmissions and running costs are kept low. The vehicle also benefits from cheaper road tax! So you can be eco green and cool all at the same time!
No Diesel one though

I believe it was a 1.6 gas boxer. Definitely aircooled. It's basically a bay body with a split greenhouse.

Those watercooled bays are still produced in South America, so technically they are later than even Eurovans.

I'm familiar with the Rumpler. Quite a sweet car. Too bad so many were wrecked in the filming of Metropolis.

Can we get a "Zoom! Zoom!"? Heya! (After all a Probe is a Mazda 626 underneath.)

Heh, I do like the Mazda aspect of this thing. Fun to drive!

Working out a deal to get this vinyl done.

OK TO PASS! by Tyler Linner... drinking the Kool Aid, on Flickr

If anyone else wants one I'd be willing to resize it for your bumper.

Thanks to Rick Rae for the idea!

Considering redesigning it to say "MPG TEST - OK TO PASS" because it's more direct and when someone's approaching at 20mph over my speed it's important to get the info across quickly.
