It's pretty close... at a glance, no one will notice the difference, I think.

What did you use to keep the foam from sticking to the paint?
Most use masking tape, that I can tell.

Here's a tip:
Next time, tape a thin plastic bag (grocery bag) into the hole so that the tape is outside the hole completely. When the foam sets up, trim it off and it will simply slide out, with no chance of damaging your paint. Plus, as the foam expands, it will still be able to accommodate any odd shapes in the plug you're making.

Finished Aux Light Cover
Thanks Christ, the plastic bag trick worked like a charm!
Front Aux Lights V 2.0
Making the plug
Sanded plug to get to "rough" shape
Fiberglassed/resin for strength
Bondo and sanded
Screwed in a bracket to hold the piece
Paint and clear coat
Next step:
Other side

No official ABA testing on the aux light covers but i figured plugging up the hole will help aerodynamically. With all of my aero mods and EOCing I am now averaging 43 to 45mpg a tank.

No problem, good that it worked for you.
The plugs you made look sort of like professional aftermarket-designed pieces.
