Why cover up the sides of the tail lights? Is it illegal to have clearance lights mounted on the mid-section of the vehicle for you, or you just didn't want them there, or you're using your OE tail lights with an extension harness?

yes he actually pops the OEM lights out and has extension wires on them so he can "move them" to the back.
