yup, its half of a Honda GSR intake mated to half a d15 3 stage intake.
heres a pic of what inside the plenum looks like.
And a little infor on the STOCK gsr intake, should be pretty close to my final runner length and volume though. However I am making my own plenum to mount onto the butterfly assembly
"The square intake runners, which are setup for low & midrange power (<5800rpm), measure 34 x 29.5 inches in size. They hold roughly 325mL of air, and are 305mm in length. Remember: LONG runners are better at LOW RPM.
The circular intake runners, which are setup for high-RPM power (>5800rpm), measure 43mm in diameter. They hold roughly 100mL of air, and are 249mm in length. Remember though, when these are open, you get the combined volumes and diameters of both sets of runners. Remember: SHORT runners are better at HIGH RPM.
The total volume of the manifold is roughly 1700mL. Compare that to the volumes of the Blox and Skunk intake manifolds that are 50% larger (2400+)."
The larger secondary runners will activate around where peak torque is made, 5000 or so, will dial it in with the dyno
And the intake won't be done before the inital dyno and tune so I can get some good before and after numbers. The purpose of my frankenmanifold is to up my midrange torque to aid in real driving situations.

I wanna see that CRX hatch mod... that's great
I almost bought a half-CRX (rear end) right before I got laid off, and was planning on doing something similar, but using the whole CRX upper rear section and having it welded together on my 4g4d.. then I decided that it was just going to be wayyyy too much work, and that it would end up a pile of metal in my backyard before it was finished, so I kept my $50.

Thanks for the kind words guys
I pretty much owe the shop i work for, Full Race, alot of credit. I get to throw around all kinds of crazy ideas @ the engineers who work there and am allowed to use the shop equipment to make a civic into a supercar, lol.
*Update* -picked up my fully built engine today
-bought a 3 bar MAP sensor
-bought a electric dual stage boost control (should work well with
the planed water/meth setup)
-Getting a really nice formed plenum
The crx hatch is probably not going to happen anytime soon. The amount of work would really be huge, talking like hundreds of hours to do it right. A man can dream though, cant he, lol.

You work for full-race... hehe. I wish I could get THAT job. But, for 27 bucks an hour (18 right now), I'm OK with caulking and sealant application.
What you say about a man dreaming is exactly why I still ponder to keep my 4g4d.. I know that I can do most of the things that I want to do with it.. I just can't do them right now, and need something more reliable.
But, a man CAN dream.

On the subject of active intake runner length tuning... Not that this would work for your turboed engine, but here's something to feed your imagination

I just clicked that link.. and it looked like half an engine sitting in that pic... I'm not sure what you wanted us - or Vince - to see there.

So a month has gone by and i'm still untuned but boosting up to about 12psi, hahaha
If the engine blows I have a 64 vw bus with a built 2 liter to drive and it will give me a chance to throw in the built d series into the civic.
It sounds nasty good while it spools but I want to hopefully push 25+psi in the future with some e85.
Still getting 38-40 mpg while raping it everywhere open loop rich as hell
Oh yeah, mgguino came on christmas eve but haven't had the chance to melt everything together

LOL - I'd love to see what you could get with some real ec0-driving... bet you could easily see 55-60 MPG.
Do you get back up and support from the guys in the shop at all for tuning and such? Are they helping you w/ that intake setup?
That would be a great resource to tap if you could, all that knowledge is pretty wasted when they're just building parts for kids with gramma's wallet to buy...
