Also for anyone who is curious about wheel tire weight combo's like I was... I weighed my HX wheels at 11.4 pounds each, plus the 165/65 RE92 which weighs 13 pounds according to tire rack, that puts me at 24.4 pounds on each corner. Out of curiosity I weighed one of my VX wheels with the tire for comparison and it weighed 21.8 pounds. Now the VX's supposedly weigh 9.7 pounds each which leaves the tires that were on it at 12.1 pounds. They were some no name brand though, probably not very LRR. However the common Michelin Defender Green X tires in 175/70-13 weigh 17 pounds each according to tire rack which would put that combo at 26.7 pounds in each corner.

As promised here are a few more pics of the car with the new wheel/tire combo. Enjoy!

My plans for the car over the next few weeks are to install a temporary kill switch until I can get a shift knob from Daox, do some more maintenance work including replacing the timing belt/water pump, and hopefully get out to my brothers place to finish up on my kammback and maybe start on the belly pan... We'll see how it all plays out.

So nice! I bet all that sanding shaved a few ounces off too, ha!

Lots of work went into those pics. Great job!

Got off my lazy bum and installed my kill switch. Seems to work good so far. I wasn't sure if I would like having it mounted on the left side of the steering wheel, but during my test drive it was fine and didn't bug me. I plan on wiring it up in series with Daox's shift knob if possible. I know he's still looking into what kind of switches he can run in the knob so we'll see how it goes.

Very nice job on the wheels! I think we’re all interested to find out what a difference the RE92s will make. We might have a long wait on our hands!

Thanks a lot guys. I actually haven't noticed a big enough gain yet on the tires, but they are brand new and I know it takes awhile to wear them in in order to get their full LRR potential. Like doctorgonzo said, time will tell.

I forgot how good that steering wheel looks tbh.

IMO, what would be really cool is have DOAX make you a dual button shifter knob so you can have a starter button and a kill button side by side, so you don't have to actuate the key.
