That's what makes me still consider a dune-buggy to eventually be reasonable for daily-driving. I guess I already mentioned one which I used to see before my father got retired from Brazilian Air Force.

I drew these around 1970.



The gull wings have coil springs because gas struts were unknown. The side-hinged top was ambidexterous, unlatch both sides and it lifts off, maybe with a flip-up windscreen underneath.

Not even sure if such a setup would actually be street-legal here, but those Emis buggies that I saw with gullwing doors were surprisingly quite practical.
