With a rather unaerodynamic smugly grin to top it off.

Adding a train just as we have done in the Aerodynamic Car thread.

If the devil is in the details, this one fails, right?

Maybe it's no Talgo or McKeene Motorcar, but I don't think it's all that bad. The open wheels and pantographs on top are a given, there's a bad transition aft of the cab, but there's a lot of length to sort that out. It has a Hugo Gernsbeck vibe. This OTOH...

That DKW minivan might not be the best aerodynamically-wise, but I'm sure it wasn't the worst of its class at all.

Here's some more UnAerodynamic Cars -

Feel like I need to stand up for the Plastic Pig, these would give up to 70 IMP MPG so that is 4 l/100 km or 58 US MPG.

The last version would go a tad higher, with reports of upto 100 IMP MPG

IIRC that's the official mileage rating for the 3rd-generation Prius. Considering that the Plastic Pig had such figures resorting to low technology, the unimproved aerodynamics, and all the drag its tiny engine had to overcome from the FR drivetrain layout, I'd also stand up for it.

There is something to be said about lowering rolling resistance.
