With that front overhang, greater than in some buses, it wouldn't last long in Brazilian roads...

The roof also does not look overly strong.
If by some accident the front part of the load falls down on the cabin, or if the truck tilts because the road under the rear wheels collapses, it won't protect the people inside much.

The driver did not seem to hate it or he would not have adorned it with bells and whistles.

Since the previous post has a truck that has cut the truck s frontal area by half, it's actually pretty aerodynamic compared to the full size version.
It looks like a plane hauler.

Australian roo-bars are interesting, as they push the roadkill down in order to prevent it from smashing the windshield. Some buses in Brazil had been fitted with similar devices in order to protect the driver from donkeys.
