I like these California + India designs, but the sharp leading hood edge to get a 1960's look, plus steep sloping roof and or junk on roof shows a disregard for aerodynamics in favor of "life-style" imagery.

In some pictures it's quite easy to figure out which side the wind is blowing, just looking at Ozzy's fur.

Quite a common mod in Iceland, yet it used to be done more often to body-on-frame rigs, and often with solid axle swaps in vehicles fitted with independent front suspension.

IIRC there were some loopholes to enable teens to drive such cars converted into trucks in Scandinavian countries.
