Pretty barf-inducing. It must have been the 1980s.
I'm starting to notice the wind tunnel interiors. Some of them are pretty wild.
Robot overlords observing from the 2nd floor?
Is the balcony in the tunnel or behind a huge piece of glass?

It's an open test section wind tunnel. The air blows out of the jet, across the test section, and is recycled into the collector inlet for a trip back through the fan via all the constant area turning vanes.
All the stuff beyond the test section is out of the airstream.
