Yeah, the cost per mile is already dropping like a stone considering the gas per mile is only a little over 3 cents and all the big expenses are already over with. I put about 15,000 miles a year on it so it'll keep dropping fast.

I gave up on Elio ever producing anything other than hype, but you never know!

Luckily I stopped myself before I actually reserved one a while back and with the money I bought my first Insight instead. So the plan now is to stick with my current Insight for a couple of years and keep saving up money until I can pay cash for the next vehicle, probably a full EV like a Leaf.

I drive 24k a year, I used to drive a Camry that got 30mpg haha.

That is a smart plan. The US government is offering a $7,500 credit to the first 200,000 of a model. The leaf is a great deal now. I can't swing it without owning another gas powered vehicle due to range.

They don't sell them where I live.
