The FWD Chrysler Concorde and Dodge Intrepid with 3.5L V6 were full sized cars here that may not have been sold in your market. We don't get many French cars here.

The only FWD full-size from Chrysler that had been officially available in Brazil was the 300M. I still see one once in a while. But IIRC it had a transverse engine.

Tadpole trike
This was done quite a few years ago. Take a look at this: The California Commuter - World Record Holding 155 MPG Freeway Legal Car!
I purchased a set of his plans/booklet and hopefully will finally get around to building a modifies version this winter. My goal is to use a more upright seating position (the designer discusses this in his book), independent front suspension and a larger engine (probably a Ninja 250 engine). Probably a bit more robust frame, too.

It does not seem that the electric commuter ever materialized.

The Vector plans had a electric variant but the only trike that seems to make it to market is the Polaris side by side. The California Commuter had a 1 cyl. diesel model but the vibration was too much.

The problem with the single-cylinder Diesels is that none of them is really meant to be used in vehicles. Apart from vibration, they're little boat anchors.

California Commuter
The vehicle was not originally designed for the diesel engine; it had to be "shoehorned" in. One of the driver's complaints was noise from the injector since the engine was directly behind his head. I intend to make seversl modifictions for comfort, including noise control.

A turbocharger already has some advantage regarding noise suppression. Anyway, since most of those stationary single-cylinder Diesels are air-cooled, it's another disadvantage on that matter.
