Fuel app says 65.24MPG with smooth wheel covers.

I need to resize my pics for the upload limit.

That is an increase from 62.53 from when I fitted the undertray.

I got 60 with just the grille block and gap seal.

And 55 in standard form.

I plan on looking into using either a gurney flap or vortex generator where the side sliding door rail juts out along the side.

Has anyone thought of secondary glazing their wing mirrors so that the mirror is enclosed behind a clear plastic cover? The idea being that the wing mirror has an area where the mirror glass is housed that is a void. By making this be flush with the wing mirror housing it would surely generate less drag as the air disturbance would be less. The mirrors stick out quite a bit and cameras are a legal no-no here. I also think a small gurney flap on the foremost leading edge could help pull back the flow to horizontal that has been displaced instead of it mixing vertical as it hits the air.

Hmmmmm.

Whilst I'm unsure on the legislation of after-market wing-cameras, the UK MOT does allow for devices that provide visibility to the rear of the vehicle

You're getting great MPG so far! Have you considered a cavity-box tail instead? It might prove a lot more practical as a day-to-day and could potentially be the anchoring point for a full boat tail?

Right, putting myself at risk of trolls, here is the MPG for my journey from Takeley to Salford is.....

68.22

I filled up right before heading off and filled up upon my return.

My technique was to draft behind the fastest truck (US- semi) which was about 55 - 57MPH.

And to think im sure i can make further small mods.

This ecomod MPG thing is very addictive.

Do you think wing mirrors off a normal Corsa would fit? Would be an improvement on the very van-shaped wing mirrors you have now.

I'd love to have your van. Is there anything comparable in the US?

Ford Transit Connect is the closest, it's still a lot bigger though. The Corsa is Metro sized (when in hatch form).

That's good, much more realistic than the figures in your first post.
