I guess we should all invest in those ecomodder stickers to "bling" out our rides That being said there will always be ignorant nay-sayers to ideas that are progressive, and do not appear to be so. I think it is better to take the high road, vs arguing with plebians that decide a name like "HorrificAnalInjuries" is a good choice for a forum handle.

Cheers to you BZP

Has anyone ever seen even a remote level of knowledge displayed by the average reddit poster? I guess I don't read the ones about the Kardashians so maybe there is a solid knowledge base there. If I found myself in large agreement with a majority of reddit posters I'd have to question my position even more.

Reddit

*The 'Dark Aero' was significant enough to an onlooker that it precipitated some photos.
*The photos made it online.
*There's now an interchange of thought about the images.
*And a full range of reactions.
Regardless of what people think right now, those images are in people's heads. They'll never return to a world where something like Dark Aero doesn't exist.
Over time, they may see something else which causes them to reflect back on what they've already experienced.
When Adam took his first look at Eve he was probably startled at her differences. But with 7,000,000,000 people on Earth now,I reckon he got over it.

Ecomodding is very fringe, even though manufacturers have basically been ecomodding their own cars for a very long time. The best you can hope for is a few to gain interest and put their knowledge to use.

Modders only add fringe temporarily for tuft testing. They remove it immediately afterwards.

What's the old saying? There is no such thing as bad publicity. All those people have seen the pic and are talking about it, sharing it and talking about it more. If this got spread enough it could find its way onto an internet publication and with a new cote of paint could probably get a spread in a truck or Toyota performance magazine, especially considering the high miles on it I'm sure some Toyota writer somewhere would love to do an article. For a truckin article it would most likely be an article on how to improve FE and they'd use BZP's truck as an "extreme" example but it's still more pics in front of more people who talk to more friends; good publicity. And all he had to do was park at a store and let some guy take a pic of the truck.
