Had it really been about renewability, an old-school Diesel running on waste cooking oil makes more sense than a hybrid. Not to mention most of the newer generations of emission devices fitted to Diesels are a PITA with biodiesel

A car transport vessel may have been lost due to battery fire, along with all the cars. It was an environmentally friendly fire and sinking though.

Inflammable cobalt free batteries can’t come fast enough.
Already being sold in Canada , soon no batteries will be flammable and only your phone will burn
