Third leak ended up beind the second leak from not having a wheel well inner liner on the car. Need to go ahead and find one of those soon.

Mine doesn't have one. Sorry!

If I make it up to Pick A Part, I'll see if they have one, and it's yours for whatever they charge. (I think it's $10 for misc) If that's good enough for you, and if they have one.

I do have the door seal, in case you need a new one, but mine's used, and didn't leak when the car was on the road (that I know of).

I don't need a door seal, don't worry. If you do find a liner though I'll take it. I've checked everywhere around here.

Do you know if one from a Hatch or Sedan will work? I'm not sure, myself, but I can look it up.

I've got one from a sedan on the passenger side. It's not perfect but it works well. So I assume the hatch will work as well.

You could just buy this:

Salvage 2003 Honda Insight For Sale

The VIN number indicates it's a 5sp, with A/C. It's "as is, where is", in Texas. But that Insight looks way too repairable to be a candidate for parting out.

Wipers - New blades are $2.50 a piece, but RainX is better.

Brakes - are there any Hondas with manual brakes, from which you could source a master cylinder?

Oil - take a reading with a real oil pressure gauge, and switch to "0W25" synthetic: a 50/50 mix of 0W20 and 0W30.

Full Insight guts swap - I will watch and take notes while you repackage the batteries, IMA computers, sensors, cooling fans, etc. I've thought about trying to free up space in my Insight's cargo hold, but I know that I am not smarter than Honda, so my efforts would have limited effect. Maybe I'll pull an old-school Subaru move and put the spare tire under the hood - or in the boattail. I'll elaborate on that pipe dream some other day.

Updating the main thread with a link to my wiper removal, then I'll come back here and type up some other stuff and venture into further problems!

Okay, I have a few other minor updates and questions, but being short on time I'm going to skip ahead to the big thing: tomorrow I'm driving out to Toledo, OH to meet ecomodder forum member Fabio to pick up all the insight mechanicals and electricals, plus some insight rims with potenza RE92s mounted. I will be trading my VX rims for these, so I'm a little sad to see them go, but o well! Onward and upward, etc
