Professor John B. Goodenough donates 500.000 dollars to the University of Porto (Portugal) to support Maria Helena Braga's project of new battery.

What a generous man.

He didn't got rich with his original litihum battery. This 500.000 dollars probably came from this 2015 million dollar prize.

I took a pass through phys.org and it looks like the hot thing is catholytes:

Maybe it's true if the entire roof it's covered with 22% efficiency square solar cells, and on plane road and in slow speed.

This is a 155 post thread about how we're lead to believe a researcher is going to describe new battery tech. I'm as excited about the new tech as I am about the prospects of getting this researcher to respond, which is to say nearly not at all, and I'll believe it when I can see it.

Isn't it sad that a world-famous researcher hasn't the time to respond to a member of our little forum?

All Darc was on the case early on — this suggests 2025 for when it changes your life. The Goodenough quote is inspirational.

Well, this thread wasn't about inverview professor Goodenough, but his co-worker co-researcher Ana Maria Braga, who had a key role in this new battery discovery. And it was my fault, since the I wasn'tr ready (digital devices ready to record) at the scheduled day.
She indeed suprises me as she is still nice to respond me once in a while on SKYPE. I feel she is a nice human being.

I'm afraid, anyway, that my questions, which I said to be advanced than previous interviews, was too deep and would snoop into classified thing she could not respond yet.

Goodenough have dyslexia, and I supose that's why he don't use to respond emails, since for a 97 years old man it's not easy to read and type long texts, as dyslexia demand quite more atention.

The questions can be answered to whatever level of specificity is appropriate given the intellectual property that is being protected.

I'm not looking for the exact formula of how to build a "next-gen" battery; I just want a no BS description of what is reasonable to expect from it. Something like "25% increase in energy density", or "1.5x faster charging".

Joe Scott doesn't rise to your standard?

Click the embed, send it to Youtube, open the transcript and hide the time stamps. If you don't have the time otherwise.

TLDR; all of the above. Plus they don't explode.
