My car is a 2011 nissan leaf with a fairly new warranty replacement battery.

Maybe change cram to "increase energy density to the point where..."

Oh, I see :

Looks nice.
Why industry did not try to create on wheel motor for comercial electric cars yet ?
Are such motor too expensible due requires high power density ?

In wheel motors are not good because they increase unsprung weight. Wheels need to be as lightweight as possible, and motors massively increase that weight.

They also tend to quickly blow bushings and bearings and crud up and self destruct

The Saudis chopped up that Turkish reporter and stuffed him down the garbage disposal.
This is been their MO for people who obstruct or disrupt what they want.
I would put anything past them.
Do they want an oil powered world that badly? I don't know.

The largest oil stocks are in Venezuela.

In-hub is too close to the dirt. You want it at the pivot of a swing arm.

I suspect the interviewee is going to be interested in everything from phone batteries to submarine batteries. Where do road vehicles fit into the bigger picture?

Road ellectric cars will be a reality.
Truck are probably quite more difficult to electric approach, since would require very large powerfull electric motor and a lot of batteries. Solar panel area of a truck would be of little help to recover energy, but would help to keep a ice cream load frozen.

But if the new battery could really get 10x the density of a ion lithium battery, and with dozen thousands cycles charges capacity...

Planes could get more versions, with electric propellers. Even 10x of actual lithium are not equal to querosene/gasoline energy density (indeed fossil fuel plus oxigen), but since combustion engine are nearly 4x less efficient than prime electric motors...

But jet planes... I can't even imagine how electric power would make any similar thing to that possible. Maybe one day some scientist creates a jet hydrogen (from renewed sources) engine for planes, but hydrogen storage would be a huge problem.

A few good news. I had a very brief talk with Maria Helena Braga minutes ago, just to set the interview tomorrow. I got ker SKYPE, finally. Skype worked fine by text messages.

She told me the skeptical question and polemic questions are the ones she really wants more to answer.

COME ON GUYS, ANY MORE POLEMIC QUESTION FOR HER ???

But I need video recording tomorrow to register the interview TO ADD TO ECOMODDER YOUTUBE PAGE, otherwise someone could acuse me of made-up...

I need a software to record a video from screen, since SKYPE don't record the videos.

I'm not with a camera now, but I supose Skype works in video chat when only one side have camera, am I right ?

Polemic is not a commonly used word in the US. I had to look it up. It means verbally attacking, so in this context would mean questions that seek to expose weaknesses in the claims made about this battery technology.

I use a free program called OBS Studio to screen capture. You'll want to test it out prior to recording the Skype meeting. I initially had an issue where my recordings would not index, so I could not seek to a certain time in the video. I fixed this by turning off the option to allow the video to resume recording if there is a disruption.
