Jimbo replaces the carburator, adjusts it, and blows the CVT belt possibly while doing donuts

Sorry for not posting this one last week, I don't remember much from it, and I really want to get back to staying in grad school, so I am not rewatching it: This is where he tries to modify it, but everything got thrown off because the belt broke while on a test run: He is still working on the Insight!

He fixed the CVT, made further modifications continuing to improve acceleration slightly, and calculated that in his 0-55 runs, he had engine RPMs more than 20% past manufacture recommendations, so further tests will be 0-55:

Jimbo dropped a Kubota in the Insight!

He discussed the project with some jerk in Covina, mated the Kubota to the Saturn transmission, modifying the Saturn shifter to fit the Insight.

100%Jake one of WatchJRGo's friends, donated a stock fuel tank, which should reduce the diesel fumes in the cabin.

He bought a larger supercharger for this.

He is cutting and sleeve-weld the axles, although it wasn't his favorite idea, although it has worked for much more powerful cars.

That Diesel might be even better suited to the Insight than to the Saturn.

Jimbo removed the engine, installed a quarter-inch aluminum plate to raise the engine 0.635cm, which just made the car heavier by the weight of one aluminum plate.
Good thing it came with extra holes!

The transmission seized and made the car come to a stop when he was nearly home.

He replaced some CVT parts and said he was no longer ordering belts from Amazon, which should be identical to the ones he used to order, but those were allegedly made in the U.S., while the Amazon ones claim to be made in Italy, so hopefully switching back and replacing parts will prevent further problems.

What belts did he use? The same ones which used to be fitted to the Selecta transmission of some Fiats from the 80s and 90s?

Just a regular scooter CVT belt. At least a classic Vespa won't have those to fail

Jimbo installed a Comet 94C clutch on the Renault

My supervisor complained on my 10th day that he shouldn't need to tell me to plan activities for all of my groups.

Cool cool cool, so after 3 months of grad school, I should completely be doing his job, at least when I am not in my own classes?

Maybe I will have the time to watch this later, but I didn't even feel that I had the time to share this, although part of that was YouTube almost exclusively showing me channels to which I am not subscribed.

I needed to specifically search for this:

Jimbo reinstalled the original exhaust and road-tested the new clutch

He also fabricated a dust shield to reduce mud, dust, and debris getting on the CVT belt.

Road tests were repeatedly delayed due to rain:
