seeking info

Came across the site when i was looking at the Aerocivic. I have a 2001 Jetta TDI and was day dreaming if it would be possible to hit 100MPG with it.

I am new to this stuff, I guess my first thing I should do is buy a Scanguage to start recording my actual driving patterns. The only moding I have done is inadvertently taken off one of my side mirrors, well the garage door and the fact that i suck driving backwards. But I often contemplate how much those mirrors add to the cD (i will search the posts for this answer).

On the eco side of things i did buy this car to run biodiesel in it but that hasn't happened for a couple of reasons. First reason was time, and to be honest my brothers bought a building with a gas station and it was just easier to take the diesel from them (still had to pay - but got to support them a bit- they since have taken the pumps out, you cant make money in gas if your not one of the majors) I did however build a biodiesel reactor and have a barrel of unopened methanol sitting in the garage. I also just recently moved an hour away, and now i differently have no space for it. Someone half hearty contacted me about buying it from me but i doubt that will go through.(i was just trying to get my money out of the methanol) If that doesn't go through if anyone is interest in the reactor they can have it for free. The electric mods on this site excite me way more the biodiesel ever will.

Look forward to reading lots of interesting stuff on this site.

Paul Roy

Hi Paul - welcome to the site.

Did you find the mirror info you were after? http://forum.ecomodder.com/showthread.php?p=10127

I did get your e-mail as well - I'll get to that in a bit.
