Short term goal... Achieved!!!

I finally broke my goal of 25mpg!!! In a Jeep! Too bad I'm selling it now I can't go for my 30mpg goal. 25.24 mpg in a 95 Jeep ZJ. Not too shabby

I'm looking for a smaller car to replace the beloved Jeep. I almost bought an 80's Toyota AE86 5 speed, but they sold it already before I got the money. So I have the Jeep till I can repaint the roof racks and remove the sound system to put a for sale sign on it. It's gonna be hard to see it go.

Congrats! However, you'll be blowing those numbers away with a small car.

Congrats!

Soon we are replacing our full sized pickup truck. The wife wants to get a small pickup and I'm pulling for a 5-speed civic. We'll see.

Have you decided what you are replacing the Jeep with?

Congrats on achieving your goal. I've yet to hit my 30 MPG goal. I see at least one to two ZJs for sale in Craigslist everyday. Seems like many people are getting rid of them, probably for the same reason you are. Anyways, good luck finding your next car.

Congrats! I too was thrilled by reaching the 25 MPG mark on my last tank in my V6 Double Cab Tacoma, I don't think my current tank is going to be quite as good, but I was hoping to get 17 to 18 MPG when I bought my truck. Getting 25 was like WOW!

Later,

Allan Greenblazer

well, bad news. I kinda drove the ZJ into a 6 foot ditch while backing up when it was too dark to see. I've got to buy a new door now and a mirror.. Possibly a sign? well I can't get a new car until I sell it, so now I've got to postpone the car buying by paying the towing fee, and then a new door.

I'm just looking for any 5 speed at the moment. Geo's are like finding 100 dollar bills lying on the ground around here. Looking for a honda or toyota 5 speed to roll in. I had that ZJ looking good and running like a champ too.
