My daughter accuses me of tipping the Fit up on 2 wheels (and she's a roller coaster girl). Besides, luggage. Baby stuff takes a lot of space, and we did some big trips in the Legacy. If I'd gotten the WRX, all those trips would have been in a first gen XTerra.

Did you ask the whole family? I heard about a couple of kids who always opted for riding in the back of an MG TC until they absolutely could not fit.
My son has two older half-brothers (long story). They rode in the luggage space behind the back seat of this Beetle until they were so old their arms and legs wouldn't fit.

I also enjoyed it, and did it even in a Fiat Uno

Even though the naturally-aspirated 1.0L engines are not so sought after as they used to be, and in part it can be credited to the increased acceptance of automatic transmissions in Brazil, it still retains a strong foothold even among commercial operators.

RIP VW Golf (U.S.)

Via Jalopnik:

Quote:
Herndon, VA — Volkswagen of America announced today that the critically-acclaimed Volkswagen Golf ended production for the U.S. market last week. Volkswagen expects that the model year 2021 Golf models built at the Puebla, Mexico plant will sustain sales of the affordable, European-designed hatchback through year end.

The high performance variants will continue for now. ( GTI & R )

Surprises me. The Golf was super utilitarian for its size. Probably one of the better vehicles VW makes.

In my opinion it’s more obvious than surprising.

2010 - 27,674
2011 - 34,706
2012 - 43,638
2013 - 30,930 - Uncertainty
2014 - 33,675
2015 - 65,308
2016 - 61,687

2017 - 68,978 - The pause

2018 - 42,271
2019 - 37,393 - U.S.A. Energy Independence and #1 in world production
2020 - 21,927

The new administration canceled the Keystone XL pipeline. They are also restricting or canceling access to new Oil leases and drilling rights on public lands.

The tide is sure to change back to “uncertainty”...

It would be wise for VW to just mothball their Production for now.

In addition;

Fracking on Federal Lands has been banned.

2013 is the year of the computer cheat , 2014 Tdi's were banned from sales. 2017 is when it became acceptable to resale cheat buybacks IIRC
