Thank you Darin,

I just picked it up tonight. It didn't occur to me to start a thread about it. It's all stock and as it is a lease, I can't mess with it too much.

Even if you're not going to mod it, I'm certain there are more than a few people who would love to hear about it in the Fossil Fuel Free subforum!

Nifty. I don't think I've seen one of those electric Fits on the road. Good luck at the rally!

I'm not sure if he's going - we were in touch last week. I mentioned I wouldn't be there this year but haven't heard back.

Also: his Insight is a 5-speed too.

Well I'm back to rooting for Team Echo from the US side again, as the last minute decision to tow my EV to this event wasn't thought out thoroughly. I had only owned the car for two days, when I decided to do this. I have to work today and then tonight would have to load and tow the EV to Plattsburgh, ditch the truck and trailer, drive it 63 miles to Jeff's place in Montreal, getting there very late, and needing to find a nearby station and hope that it was available so the car would be ready to drive to the event start in the morning. The next day, once I got to Charlemagne, I'd need to recharge again before the start of the event. If I had any delay or problem at any of the charging stations [not available, out of order, my card didn't work, etc.] I would not be ready in time to start the event. Things certainly are easier with a gas car!

Next year I will take the Friday off before the event and use the whole day to get everything ready with time to spare, so I can do this with confidence and enjoy my trip to Montreal, like I always have in the past.

Mike

Nice to see that his Insight is on the good side of the force.
