I did not find this webpage reference in the forum so I am posting it: https://www.christinedemerchant.com/...ng-gluing.html.

If you have any other tips, feel free to add them.

That's a good tip for gluing/taping with coroplast. The velcro I use to hold on my grille block has never been confidence inspiring, so I guess I could use heat first.

I actually have to use a heat gun on stick-on wheel weights at work when its cold, so I probably should have thought of this before.

Clamps help hold pieces in place while I poke holes with an awl 8-12 mm apart for zip ties. I typically use white Gorilla tape on the seam. To paint, after prep apply two light coats to avoid cracking. Some automotive paints have a flex additive for bumpers.

Reinforced edge:
Raw edge
Recessed by d/2 to be wrapped by tape
Recessed by 2d to be folded and wrapped with tape
This is theory, let me know if it works.
