Snow!

Man, it's cold out this afternoon!

So we ended up with maybe 25 cm (just under a foot).

But last night I heard a first: thunder in the middle of the blizzard. I'd read about that before, but that's the first time I've EVER heard thunder in February.

Anyway, make use of it! Taking the nephews snowboarding on the local hill tomorrow afternoon (not a really big hill - we walk back up).

We got an even foot of snow here.

We had predictions of thunder snow, but I didn't hear any. We had some a few weeks ago.

VERY strange to hear thunder in a snow-storm. Usually a bad thing. I think we had 3 tornados when we had the thunder-snow.

January here is NOT usually tornado season..

I heard thunder during a snow storm for the first time in my life this December. I was REALLY surprised to hear it. I was born and raised in New England so I've seen snow every winter, too. The nice thing is, no tornadoes came after as I've never seen a tornado in real life and really wouldn't mind keeping it that way.

We got 11 inches Tuesday and Wednesday, maybe the third time work has shut down in th 24 yrs I been there.
