Having owned an Explorer and Sidekick seems way more nimble and car like to me.

That was the photo opportunity of a lifetime! I paid $225 for a 20-minute flight in a T-6 Texan that day. After landing, The pilot asked me where I was from, and whether I drove or flew there. I told him I drove - in a car named after an airplane - a Mustang. He said, "Oh, You should pull it around and get some pictures of it with these Mustangs!" I couldn't believe my ears. I have some really cool pictures to show my friends.
On Edit, it looks like 3n3rgystar and UltArc have abandoned our team. Oh, well, we can somehow make it without them..

$225 for a 20-minute flight in a T-6 ..
sounds very nice if you got stick time logged ..
i very much regret not putting down 500$ for stick time in the B-24 All American some years ago.i think i would have got an hour stick. but then been passenger to dallas and found my way home on my own from there...its been repainted and renamed since then

i was looking at a car mag the other day and all the new little family sedans did better in the 1/4 mile. FE AND G's side force on the skid pad than my thing..
kinda makes me feel inadequate when a soccer mum and the kids in crossover can pull more side force than a sure enough Classic +sports car+
but then when i put the nitro methane/methanol /castor oil in the top oiler my thing will exude quite the peculiar smell.. the stink of castor oil and nitro-methane

worth something .. maybe, i suspect there are so few can *smell that Smell* anymore

It always makes me smile when people know the Mustang is named after a plane

I'm not gone forever, I was just having another idea for the teams...not sure exactly what I want to do, yet. i didn't abandon you, yet, sir!

MGB=MPG: No stick time in the T-6. I'm not a pilot. This was an exhibition flight for the crowd on the ground.

UltArc: I didn't think you intentionally abandoned the team. I was a member of Team Ford for some time, but when I joined "Sports Cars", the system automatically "un-joined" me from Team Ford.

I would have been all about this with my 1986 Toyota MR2. It was swapped with a 20 valve engine and 6 speed manual transmission. Fun car and got 40 mpg. Family got bigger and needed to get ride of the 2 seater. I plan to get a Lotus Elise and be back in the high mpg sports car club again though...

I was in there, the Ford team, but I was killing their stats. I'm thinking about making one for my state.

We could form "Team Mustang 30+" and exclude anyone who's never exceeded 30MPG in a Mustang... just a thought....

That would be a very small team! I believe we are the only two active Mustang members. Your generation is much more challenging to get this mileage from, it appears to me.

I'm under the impression you're a five speed, and I don't know too much more about the vehicles. I am under the impression the V8 had 295 hp at the crank. I expect the V6 is 225ish.

Have you thought of upgrading to an 11+?
