I occasionally see a car very similar to this driving around my home town. I never have been able to snap a picture of it, but I think it is a Sunfire.
The bug splats make it hard to tell, but that looks like it may be a motorcycle rear suspension. Motorcycle powered maybe?
The Sunfire(?) near me appears to be powered by the original drivetrain and sits lower in the back.

That swing arm may have a motorcycle-based design, but it doesn't seem to be motorcycle powered, at least from the angles of the picture it doesn't show a drive chain. Anyway, it wouldn't be impossible to use the original engine and mod the gearbox for chain-drive, and getting a large trunk in the front...
