Sure it wouldn't be the smartest move to relocate the engine to get a chain-driven RWD layout in this tricycle, but I've already seen similar setups in artesanal motorcycles fitted with car engines

The driver of that car looks a little like the actor in the movie Repo Man (1984), the one with the bi-polar glasses, one side blacked out.

Or maybe didn't have either time or the space required to work on a similar project. I've been lurking to do a similar project for quite a long time, but still didn't have the time.

Why would you switch to rear drive when the front drive bits are completely unaffected by the mod?
Granted hacking off a few hundred pounds of steel and cutting your aero drag way down would make a much taller top gear look pretty appealing, if it can be done. Is there a taller fifth gear available, maybe for the *ahem* sporty, high-powered model of Cav?

To increase the challenge?
But sure, it wouldn't be the smartest move. Altough an auxiliary electric motor in a setup similar to the XR3 could be a nice improvement, and also helping to deal with weight balance concerns...

Less weight in the rear-end, so eventually if brake loads weren't correctly balanced that could have a rear-lift.
