Stupid car ads

Every time I see this ad I make a mental note to post my feelings about it here.
It's the VW TDI ad that shows the three boys destroying the convenience store while the perfect mom drives by in her TDI.

The only problem is the reckless lane change less than a car length in front of the poor driver in the right lane.

regards
mech

Luckily I haven't had TV ever since the switch to digital broadcasting, so I don't know this commercial. However, back in the day, VW ran a commercial where a punk in VW boom car was circling an area seeking a parking spot, and all the people inside their houses looked out their windows and appeared to admire the VW and enjoy the beat as it went by. Yeah right. I did email them to point out their stupidity. Actually got a response too.

I think VW is trying to recapture the stunning successes of it's ad campaigns from the '60s. The problem is, today they have morons in their marketing department and they're wildly missing the mark.

I haven't seen that ad. Is it on Youtube?

None better than the Darth Vader, Jr., ad.

Lol, I'm sure that's the same thing the Volkswagen owners say about Dodge/Chrysler owners (in my opinion).

I just watched one dopey GTI commercial, but then found a bunch of great late 1950s and early 1960s ads in one 4 minute clip:

Agreed, now up it a notch with a Sebring, and bring it home with a PT Cruiser!

Ooh, the PT! That's low. Next you'll be mentioning the K car.
